Muscular Therapy
Muscular therapy is a technique that focuses on soft tissue, muscle and nerves. This manual manipulation combines therapeutic massage, deep tissue bodywork, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Muscular therapy treats a variety of pain, chronic tension, injury, decreased range of motion and daily fatigue.
Reflexology
Reflexology uses specific reflex points on the foot to restore the flow of energy throughout the body. The treatment usually focuses on the feet, but it can also include the hands. Reflexology encourages the body to flush out toxins by increasing blood circulation and lymphatic movement. Every organ and function in the body has a reflux point on the feet and hands. When pressure is applied to the reflux points it stimulates each organ to release stored toxins.
Cupping
Cupping is a suction technique designed to get rid of toxin build up and stagnant blood from the body. Suction pulls toxins, lymph, blood and inflammation to the surface of the skin which is often why redness is produced. By utilizing cupping techniques, we can remove toxins from very specific areas of pain. This technique will pull the new blood into those areas and restoring proper blood flow.
Prenatal MassagE
Massage during pregnancy will help relax muscle tension, improving lymphatic and blood circulation, while in a side lying position with pillow supports. Prenatal massage addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts. Massage helps to stimulate soft tissues to reduce the accumulation of fluids in swollen joints. Benefits of prenatal massage can include reduction of leg cramps, sciatic nerve pain, hip and sacroiliac pain, neck and back pain, headaches, tension. As with any therapeutic approach to pregnancy wellness, women should discuss massage with their prenatal care provider.
